Mandala & Meditation
In Hindu religion, the word Namaste means “greetings” like “hello” in English. “Nama” means bow, “as” means I, and “te” means you. Therefore, Namaste literally means “bow me you” or “I bow to you.” It is usually spoken with a slight bow and hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointing upwards, thumbs close to the chest. The gesture Namaste is a sign of respect and represents the belief that there is a Divine spark within each of us that is in the heart chakra.
