A Faraway Haven #1

A Faraway Haven #1

  • I grew up along the southwestern Malabar coast of India, a state called Kerala. Kerala is one of the most popular tourist destinations known for many attractions: its scenic beauty, backwaters, seafood, wildlife sanctuaries, spice plantations, traditional performance arts, and above all, Ayurveda, an ancient holistic system of medicine that primarily focuses on  yoga massage and herbal medicine for health, beauty, and wellness.

In this painting, I picture myself to be spending a few moments in a faraway haven reminiscing the beauty of my hometown, Kerala.

Does this haven take you to a place where you want to be at this moment?
