Culture & Diversity
The painting Africa is a representation of aboriginal motifs. The ingenious patterns adopted by savage tribes is a depiction of their inspiration from mother nature in defining their individuality with tattooing, clothing or weaving, carving wood or weapons for defense. These motifs and patterns are my interpretation from the book ' The Grammar of Ornament' - by Owen Jones (first published in England in 1856).
